Selenium Training Meet 3rd June - Video Recording

Yesterday was the second session of Selenium Training meet. There were 109 registrations for meeting and 54 users participated in it. We discussed on -
    • nth locator in CSS 
    • Selenium IDE
    • Firefox and Chrome Driver
    • Using TestNG with Selenium
You can access Selenium Training Video Recording here. I hope none of you encounters any issue with video recording this time. I have uploaded Selenium Java Project here, which we used during session.

Don't hesitate to ask me any question about session or if you face any other issue with Selenium.

    Hi Tarun,,, i am new to selenium,i din't know java...is it possible to learn selenium...

      yes definitely with constant persistence you can learn any thing.

    The chromedriver does not work for me unless I write .exe extension for the binary. Just wanted to find out if this is a general issue since I had to spend more than 1 hour trying to find out what was stopping it from running until finally I came to know it was because of missing 4 letters :(

Using xPath to reach parent of an element

Note: If you are new to java and selenium then start with selenium java training videos .   I prefer css locator over xPath but there are times when css locators don't fit requirement. One such requirement is when you want to navigate to parent element of an element and may be parent of parent and even more. Unfortunately css locators don't provide any mechanism to navigate to parent of an element. See this for more.
